Our Story
Our Story
In urban and metropolitan areas, many women and young girls lack the complete support they need to lead happy and healthy lives. Numerous factors, including a lack of family support, low self-esteem, financial difficulties, or poor academic and professional skills, may be to blame for this. These people are particularly vulnerable to life-altering occurrences like teen pregnancies and homelessness. Girl2Girl Mentoring Group was founded to address these problems and offer tools that will steer these young women toward self-assurance, achievement, and power.
In response to the numerous social issues that young girls in our community face, we established the Girl2Girl Mentoring Program to offer supportive mentorship, academic assistance, and a helping hand as girls make the journey to adulthood.
Why We Care
Education and mentoring are the most effective solutions to the myriad of social problems affecting teen girls.
We think that young girls need mentors the most because of disturbing statistics like "a girl is bullied every 7 minutes" and "1 in 5 girls do not know who to turn to if they have a problem." We are dedicated to providing resources that will enable girls in our community to deal with and overcome these challenges because we are aware of the numerous societal issues that they face.
We have a problem. Preadolescent females in Charleston County lack the necessary tools to take important steps in life, such as finishing high school, going on to further their education, or realizing their own worth. Our genuine goal is to lower these figures and provide girls with the chance to fly, dream, and feel the spark that comes from witnessing their passions and sense of worth increase every day.
The high school dropout rate for students with mentors is 1.1%, compared to 11.7% for students without mentors, demonstrating the problem," liveness of mentoring. Girls who receive mentorship are 46% less likely to use drugs, 59% perform better academically, and 73% become more goal-oriented. Through our programs and interactions with our girls, we aim to raise these statistics.

The Girl2Girl Mentoring Group thinks all girls should have the chance to reach their full potential.
The Girl2Girl Mentoring Group is a unique setting where we all encourage potential fulfillment. We are proud of our core values, which serve as the foundation for our culture, brand, and impact strategies.
Our virtual courses are devoted to assisting our girls in assembling a toolkit of abilities they will require to be independent and effective as they advance. Students will create a strategy for their future and rigorously follow it through by learning about issues like responsible financial planning, creating an impactful résumé, and career planning, among others.
The goal of in-person sessions is to help students gain the social and emotional abilities necessary to handle any circumstance successfully in life. Just a few of the subjects covered include self-assurance, nonviolent conflict resolution, and creating wholesome relationships. It is crucial to steer these young women's emotional and social development because success in the future depends on it.
Through workshops, open forums, projects, and community service activities, we aim to empower teenage girls to build self-esteem, develop their strengths and leadership abilities, live up to their highest potential, and motivate each other to become more influential voices in their community.
